The Wedding Day
I’m thrilled to share Melanie and Gage’s garden and urban-themed wedding on my blog today. The day started off with Gage and Melanie getting ready, I met up with the beautiful bride at her studio. This stunning girl has been working so hard to get her business off and running with a head start, I can totally relate how much time and effort goes into something like that, so huge props her, Melanie! The dress was graciously gifted by some of her family members and a small reveal that we did touch everyone in the room, I even welled up a little.
We made our way to the Greenland Garden Centre for the ceremony, the bright sun was welcomed and a beautiful archway surround with purple flowers was the perfect setting for these two to tie the knot. Later we made our way downtown for our portraits but not before a small hic-up (not everything ever goes according to plan on a wedding day guys!) The wind that day certainly was something else! That is an understatement, we quickly and unfortunately bailed on our first location and scurried away to find shelter from the wind. Luckily we found a nearby spot and we were able to finish our portraits with ease, and I loved the way they turned out. We popped champagne and celebrated!
Later we all followed up with a lovely set reception at the Mirage Banquet Hall, an incredibly ‘lit’ dance floor and sweet toasts from friends and family set the mood for the rest of the evening. Thank you, Melanie and Gage, for letting me be there as your photographer, as always I am honoured. Wishing you the two the best with your future!
