The Wedding Day

Nicola and Nick, where can I possibly start with these two… Words can’t describe the complete love I have for these two as a couple and as clients. I met Nicola and Nick just about two and a half years ago, they met with me and even before they met me they knew they wanted me to be their photographer! Which let me remind you again was over two years ago!! Honestly, my work and I a photographer were so different back then, knowing that I’ve changed so much they still stuck with me and that makes my heart so happy. We keep in continuous contact over the years leading up to their big day, so when it finally came I was so thrilled. I knew Nicola and I knew that she and Nick were going to have the day planned to a ‘T’ with little moments and mementoes hidden here and there. We spent the morning at The Matrix getting ready and then headed over to the University of Alberta for the first look with Nicola’s dad, and then, of course, the first look with Nick and Nicola. They met on a blind date at the University’s on-campus pub called Deweys so it seemed fitting that that’s where we did their first look. The whole bridal party looked stunning and later we finally went over to get Nicola and Nick hitched! Cute little his and her vow books made a special appearance at their ceremony, it was intimate and it wouldn’t be complete without their two little puppies making an entrance down the aisle as well. We did a few more pictures special to Nicola and Nick after the ceremony then it was time to party! The whole evening was filled with so many exciting surprises, a performance from Nick to announce dinner, a performance from Nicola and her father, speeches, toasts, and more unique moments shared by everyone that best represented these two as a couple. Of course, the night would NOT be complete without a lightsaber battle and finally closing out the night with a quick outfit change from the happy couple into some Star Ward themed onesies. How cute are they! Thank you, Nicola and Nick, for being amazing clients and turning into friends, I always have a great time chatting with you two and I know you will be the happiest! I can’t wait to photograph more moments in your future!
