I

I’m so happy to share Ashleigh and Nolan’s engagement session on my blog today, because this really was a beautiful session! We had so much rain this summer most of my sessions were cloudy always stunning but cloudy and I’m a girl who loves lots of light I mean what photographer doesn’t! So when Ashleigh emailed and asked if we could do our engagement session out at her cabin in Pigeon Lake I immediately said YES and prayed for a sunny warm sunset and we got it!

Ashleigh and Nolan met back in high school and got engaged in Mexico so I’m so glad we we’re able to incorporate that feeling into our session with the beautiful water reflecting the sunset onto their faces. I always if I can try to include details of the proposal into an engagement session, as normally the engagement session if the first set of official photos as a couple I try to tie a little bit in to complete the story.

We had so much fun during our whole session, the beautiful trees behind their cabin soaked in gorgeous light, we even found a cute little bench and promptly took photos with it. The things you find just walking through the woods delights me!

Of course the evening would be complete without a little champagne! I’m so looking forward to photographing Ashleigh and Nolan’s wedding this coming summer in July.
