The Wedding Day

What an absolutely perfect day! From the warm weather to Ellyse and David being a breeze to work with! I met Ellyse while attending MacEwan University. Boy does that feel like another lifetime ago now. But I love that we reminded in contact and she immediately knew she wanted me to capture her and David’s special day.

You know one of the most beautiful things about weddings is that it has the magic of bringing people together. David is originally from Australia, so many people travelled across the ocean for these two. It was a lot of fun just being in the same room as all of them! Because, if you don’t already know, Australians they like to party!

Ellyse and David decided on a first look. I took them to one of my favourite parks in the Edmonton river valley where they read private vows to each other. With wedding days being so busy I love that they were able to take that quiet moment for just the two of them. The reception followed directly behind their outdoor ceremony at the Oilfield Technical Society. The speeches were both emotional and funny (with some quirky moments from the Aussi’s!) and a live band closed out the evening celebrations!
