The Wedding Day

Wouldn’t have wanted to spend my August long Sunday any other way! I was lucky enough to capture Erika and Jeff’s amazing Mexican inspired backyard wedding in the heart of Edmonton. After two reschedules these two finally tied the knot. We were supposed to go to Mexico this winter but Covid said no! So Erika and Jeff brought Mexico to us. With an authentic Mexican food truck, tequila and immense heat! It was just like we were there, we didn’t skip a beat.

A completely F.R.I.E.N.D.S. inspired ceremony made everybody laugh including me, and when I say F.R.I.E.N.D.S. inspired I hope you’ll all remember this t.v. scene… “love is based on giving and receiving. As well as having and sharing. And the love that is given and had is shared and received. And through this having and giving and sharing and receiving… we too can share and love and have and receive.

Line for line folks! I kid you not, I don’t normally remember the vows from my couples. But everyone was cracking up so much I banked this memory away, I just could not! So from the bottom of my heart here’s to Erika and Jeff, Erika thought of every little detail and it paid off. I loved it all from their dogs as the ring bearers to completely transforming their backyard for their small elopement wedding. The delicious homemade cake and the couch Erika brought for pictures. Truly amazing from start to finish!
