Shannon & Motijus’ Foundry Room wedding.

Portraits in the Edmonton river valley.

Ceremony and reception at the Foundry Room.

The Wedding Day

I’ll just say it, I love first looks. It’s a private moment, between you and your spouse to be. Getting all your portraits done before you head off to the other events of the day can make it more fun and easier. I so enjoy that following the ceremony, they can jump right into cocktail hour with their guests. We, of course, created some memorable and fun magic for Shannon and Motijus. What a beautiful day!

We went to a little park in the Edmonton river valley, we quickly set Motijus up. Nestled among the trees we brought Shannon around the corner along the tiny path towards her husband to be. They shared their moment, and I always make sure I take a step back here. Simply letting couples be themselves in this is important to me, keeping a distance, letting them talk amongst themselves.

After we finished up all our portraits here at the park it was time to get these two married! Everything was at the Foundry Room, a sweet, tiny, venue. Long tables lined the room and the space filled with their friends and family mingling away. Shannon & Motijus read their vows to each other lovingly, and then it was official! The rest of the evening was beautiful, they sat at a sweetheart table all night. Followed up by their first dance.

Thank you, Shannon & Motijus. Here are some of my favourite images from the day.
