The Wedding Day

This wedding brings so many warm memories to my heart! Here I am happy to share finally, Mallory and Brett’s stunning wedding day!

I have never photographed a wedding at either the Sutton Place Hotel or the CKUA Radio Network building. But I can’t wait to go back after the dreamy nuptials these two shared. Mallory and Brett met me back in our university days, we all attended music school together. I feel such a privilege that these two asked me to capture their day for them.

I knew that they wouldn’t disappoint with the amazing music and the icing on the cake was the outpouring of love that Mallory, Brett and their respective families all share for each other. The laughter that resonated in between happy tears was incredibly touching during their ceremony, and that would have been my favourite part of the day if it wasn’t for some of the best speech reactions I’ve ever seen from both the bride and the groom.

The whole wedding was truly a show! Passages were read by the bridal party while Mallory and Brett held hands in front of their loved ones and live music played in between. Possibly one of my personal and favourite images captured from the wedding day was the kiss I snapped from Brett onto Mallory’s forehead as they exited their ceremony.

Finally, the reception, as I had mentioned was equally a show! A live band, guests having to get up and ‘sing a song’ in order for the couple to kiss was truly hilarious! They cut the cake and I know that they danced the night away. Thank you, Mallory, and Brett for allowing an old friend from MacEwan to document your special day. It meant the world to me.
